DURHAM SCHOOL SERVICES RECEIVES OUTSTANDING ORGANIZATION AWARD FROM SPECIAL OLYMPICS
– Durham School Services, a leader in student transportation, was recognized by Special Olympics Illinois at the Summer Games Reception. Since 1996, National Express Corporation (NEC), Durham’s parent company, has made Special Olympics its number one charitable partner. The Outstanding Organization Award recognizes contributions that improve the experiences of Special Olympics Illinois athletes.
“At National Express, we constantly strive to be active in the communities that we serve,” said David A. In addition to its fundraising efforts, Durham provides free shuttle transportation for the athletes and those particpating in the Special Olympics Plane Pull fundraiser as well as two local Polar Plunge events. Employees also volunteer by handing out awards and with the operations of the Games.
