DURHAM SCHOOL SERVICES REGION VICE PRESIDENTS WIN PRESTIGIOUS GOLDEN MERIT AWARD

AUSTIN, TX... Durham School Services today announced the recognition of two of the company’s region vice presidents by the National School Transportation Association (NSTA). The association presented Mike Dacy, Southwest Region vice president, and David Duke, Northeast Region vice president with the prestigious Golden Merit Award at the annual awards banquet in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The award is given to people who have made significant contributions to the student transportation industry.

Since Mr. Dacy joined Durham in 1991, he has served as the director of operations for the Central Region, in which he was instrumental in improving operating procedures and ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal rules, and regulations. In his current position as vice president for Durham’s Southwest Region, Mike has general oversight of 15 Customer Service Centers in Texas and New Mexico.

Mr. Duke has more than 15 years of experience in student transportation, beginning his career as a financial consultant for Ryder Student Transportation Services. David joined Durham in September 2000 as the company’s vice president for the Northeast Region (includes Maryland, Wisconsin, Illinois, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island) and is responsible for maintaining excellent customer service and operating performance for the school districts Durham serves in these states.
